Bring your binoculars and join your fellow Sagehens for our guided bird-watching tour of the Huntington Beach Central Park! This tour of a top birding locale in Orange County will be led by current Pomona student, Teodelina Martelli '24.

As our contribution to the annual 4/7 Celebration of Sagehen Impact, we will conduct an official count of migratory birds and report it to the local chapter of the National Audubon Society (a.k.a. the Sea and Sage Audubon Society), which will compile it into their data for the Orange County Spring Count.

According to the Sea and Sage Audubon Society, "In spring and fall, birders flock to the park in search of warblers, sparrows, flycatchers, thrushes, gnatcatchers, and other migrants. No matter what time of year, you will see phoebes, egrets, herons and night-herons, hawks, woodpeckers, and maybe an owl or two."

Schedule:
